Amovin is available as 625mg tablets, 1.2g & 600mg injections and 228mg/5ml suspension.

Amovin is a combination of amoxycillin and pottasium clavulanate. Clavulanic acid potentiates amoxycillin and enhances its rapid bactericidal activity against susceptible beta-lactamase producing organisms. Resistant organisms produce beta-lactase enzyme which hydrolyses the beta-lactam ring of the antibiotic, amoxycilin rendering it ineffective. Amovin is indicated for the treatment of respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, gynaecological sepsis, etc.
